Thanks to the construction and the performance of Tector engines, the new Eurocargo is economical, easy to drive and environmental friendly. It provides the best performance in its category. Thanks to the constantly high torque, the flexibility of the engine is especially high, which makes the number of necessary gear changes much lower. It is available with four- or six-cylinder engine, both are with high-pressure fuel injection systems.
Throughout the years Iveco has always been regarded as a leader in diesel engine technology development, so we can offer the best solution for all car users. The Selective Catalitic Reduction (SCR) system used with Eurocargo meets the Euro4 standards, moreover, it already comes up to the Euro5 requirements that will be introduced only in 2009. The oil change period and the life span of air filters can be up to 80.000 kilometres depending on usage, and coolant needs to be changed only once in two years.

Safety above all
Eurocargo was designed for maximal transport safety. The cabin structure is solid and resists corrosion thanks to the galvanization process. The rigidity of the upper part of the cabin has been highly increased, and it is built with stuck-on windscreens. The disc brakes, the enormous windscreen and windows all provide excellent driveability and thus guarantee safety.
Active safety devices such as ABS and a triple activation engine brake – that can be operated either with the brake pedal, the engine brake pedal or with releasing the accelerator pedal – are part of the standard on all models. The 4X2 models are all equipped with disc brakes, and models exceeding 7.5 tons are equipped with a front under-run protective device, too.

The construction of Eurocargo as well as Tector engines and the board elements all contribute to the achieving a low curb weight. As for the variety of Eurocargo trucks available, the Eurocargo family has 300 models with 3000 different variations possible. For example, the 4X2 formula low construction EL series is ideal for collecting and distributing goods in urban transport. The 4X4 formula version can deal with the most difficult lie of the land, and the 6X4 model can be a perfect base for a concrete mixer superstructure, just to list a few possibilities. Dumper versions are equipped with differential locks and radiator protection to guarantee safety.
